Product Description

1. 2W direct-acting solenoid valve can be zero pressure start, solenoid control, belongs to the industrial solenoid valve.
2. Wide range of joint sizes from 1/8″ to 2″, both threaded and flanged, including brass alloy (copper and zinc) and stainless steel valves.
3. 2W solenoid valve default body material is copper alloy with NBR rubber seal, if you need to apply the food industry can contact us to replace other materials such as SS304 and SS316.

2W Solenoid valves are capable of operating at zero differential pressure.

Q1. What is solenoid valve
Solenoid valves are control units which, when electrically energized or de-energized, either shut off or allow fluid flow. The actuator takes the form of an electromagnet. When energized, a magnetic field builds up which pulls a plunger or pivoted armature against the action of a spring.

Q2. How does a solonoid valve work?

Solenoid valves consist of a coil, plunger and sleeve assembly. In normally closed valves, a plunger return spring holds the plunger against the orifice and prevents flow. Once the solenoid coil is energized, the resultant magnetic field raises the plunger, enabling flow.

 

Q3. How are two way solenoid valves used?

A 2-way solenoid valve has two ports, an inlet and an outlet. Flow direction is critical to ensure proper operation, so there is typically an arrow indicating the flow direction. They are used to start/stop the flow of gas/liquid and are most commonly normally closed. If power fails the valve will close.

 

Q4. What causes solenoid failure?

Solenoid coil failure can be caused by a number of factors. Applying an incorrect voltage to the coil will cause it to fail and may cause the coil to burn out. Electrical surges or spikes may also damage the coil. Burnt out coils cannot be repaired and will need to be replaced. Check if flow direction matches with the indicators on the valve body or matches within limits as specified in the valve manual.
